Depth of Defense

Sara is a Portland native who just returned from grad school in New York. She is showing a large group of mixed-media works on paper that are all from the same body of work as her thesis. From deeply personal to basically formal, this work shows an artist who is expanding her range and delineating the territory of her personal language. Her show is certainly one that rewards a thoughtful consideration of the multiple layers of marks and meaning.
